Family Vision Center was established in the Kingwood- Humble area in 1983. The office has been owned and operated by Dr’s Mark and Rhonda Anderson since 1988. They have put together an operation that will meet your needs as a patient – one where you feel welcome and confident in the care you receive. When you and your family visit our Kingwood office, you will notice the difference right away. Our cutting-edge technology, warm and inviting atmosphere, and team of genuinely compassionate professionals will change the way you feel about visiting the eye doctor.

The staff at Family Vision Center includes five opticians with an average of 13 years of experience in the optical field. They specialize in using the newest technology and materials available to meet your vision needs. Family Vision Center has a wide variety of quality spectacle frames ranging from Cartier luxury eyewear to ultra tough Auto-Flex titanium frames.

Dr. Mark Anderson

Mark D. Anderson, O.D.

Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, Therapeutic Optometrist

 
Dr. Mark Anderson has been serving the Humble/Kingwood community for over 23 years. Although he attended Oklahoma State University for his bachelor’s degree, Dr. Mark Anderson came to Houston to attend the prestigious University of Houston College of Optometry. In 1988, the newly married Dr. Mark and Dr. Rhonda Anderson moved to Kingwood to open their practice. Dr. Mark enjoys caring for his existing patients and always welcomes new patients. He has extensive experience in family eye care, including dry eye management, computer vision problem-solving, contact lens fitting, and eye surgery co-management.

Over the last few years Dr. Mark Anderson has worked closely with the Humble Area First Baptist Church Missions Team. He frequently travels on mission trips to Africa, Mexico, South America and other countries to provide eye care, including glasses and treatment for eye disease. He developed a special frame called the ‘Mission Frame” that allows mission teams to provide stylish high quality frames to indigent areas.

Dr. Rhonda Anderson

Rhonda L. Anderson, O.D.

Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, Therapeutic Optometrist

 
Dr. Rhonda Anderson did her undergraduate work at the University of Texas before entering the University of Houston College of Optometry. She graduated in 1988 and is a highly skilled, compassionate, and solutions-oriented medical professional with over 20 years of practical experience in primary care environments. She has profound knowledge of the information and techniques required to diagnose, treat, and manage ocular injuries, diseases, and refractive and binocular conditions of the eye. She has a commitment to excellence through ensuring implementation of best practices and procedures, and superior interpersonal, organizational, technical, and assessment skills. Dr. Rhonda Anderson grew up locally in Baytown, Tx, where she has a father and an uncle who are also optometrists.

Dr. Rhonda Anderson enjoys giving back to her community through service in local clubs, associations, and charity leagues. She also leads many vision screenings at events and local schools, both public and private.

Both doctors maintain a busy private practice while continuing to put in a tremendous number of hours advancing their knowledge through extensive continuing education classes, study clubs, and active association memberships. Doctors Mark and Rhonda Anderson are both Therapeutic and Glaucoma Licensed Optometric Doctors and are among the first select group of optometrists certified by the American Board of Optometry.

Brittney Probst, O.D.

Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, Therapeutic Optometrist

 
Dr. Brittney Probst is a Texas licensed therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. She is experienced in the areas of dry eye treatment, specialty contact lens fittings, refractive and cataract surgery co-management, diabetic and glaucoma eye examinations, and pediatrics. Dr. Probst completed one of her internships in a cornea and contact lens specialty practice and is able to fit all types of contact lenses including multifocal contacts and scleral contact lenses for people with many corneal conditions ranging from high astigmatism to Keratoconus. She also completed an internship at Eye Center of Texas where she gained experience in ocular diseases such as diabetes, glaucoma, cataracts, and retinal conditions. She was also selected to participate in the Specialty Dry Eye Center clinic where she learned a wealth of information on treating dry eyes.Brittney is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, A Board Member of the Harris County Optometric Association, and University of Houston Alumni. She is also involved with St. Martha Catholic Church in Kingwood, Texas.
