Dr. Rhonda Anderson

Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, Therapeutic Optometrist

Dr. Rhonda Anderson did her undergraduate work at the University of Texas before entering the University of Houston College of Optometry. She graduated in 1988 and is a highly skilled, compassionate, and solutions-oriented medical professional with over 30 years of practical experience in primary care environments. She has profound knowledge of the information and techniques required to diagnose, treat, and manage ocular injuries, diseases, and refractive and binocular conditions of the eye. She is also an Irlens Screener. She has a commitment to excellence through ensuring implementation of best practices and procedures, and superior interpersonal, organizational, technical, and assessment skills. Dr. Rhonda Anderson grew up locally in Baytown, Tx, where she has a father and an uncle who are also optometrists.

Dr. Rhonda Anderson enjoys giving back to her community through service in local clubs, associations, and charity leagues. She also leads many vision screenings at events and local schools, both public and private.

Both doctors maintain a busy private practice while continuing to put in a tremendous number of hours advancing their knowledge through extensive continuing education classes, study clubs, and active association memberships. Both Dr. Mark Anderson and Dr. Rhonda Anderson are Therapeutic and Glaucoma Licensed Optometric Doctors and are among the first select group of optometrists certified by the American Board of Optometry.

Dr. Anderson currently has two other practices: Family Vision Center Kingwood and Family Vision Center Atascocita.

She has 2 children, daughter is a chemical engineer and her son is in medical school. Together they enjoy hiking and snow skiing.

Dr. Mark Anderson

Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, Therapeutic Optometrist

Dr. Mark Anderson has been serving the Humble/Kingwood community for over 30 years. Although he attended Oklahoma State University for his bachelor’s degree, Dr. Mark Anderson came to Houston to attend the prestigious University of Houston College of Optometry. In 1988, the newly married Dr. Mark Anderson and Dr. Rhonda Anderson moved to Kingwood to open their practice. Dr. Mark Anderson enjoys caring for his existing patients and always welcomes new patients. He has extensive experience in family eye care, including dry eye management, computer vision problem-solving, contact lens fitting, and eye surgery co-management.

Over the last few years Dr. Mark Anderson has worked closely with the Humble Area First Baptist Church Missions Team. He frequently travels on mission trips to Africa, Mexico, South America and other countries to provide eye care, including glasses and treatment for eye disease. He developed a special frame called the ‘Mission Frame” that allows mission teams to provide stylish high quality frames to indigent areas.

Dr. Brittney Probst

Therapeutic and Glaucoma Specialist

Dr. Brittney Probst grew up in the Humble/Kingwood area and attended Kingwood High School followed by Texas A&M University for her undergraduate studies and is certified by the American Board of Optometry. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston – College of Optometry.

Dr. Brittney Probst is a Texas licensed therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. She is experienced in the areas of dry eye treatment, specialty contact lens fittings, refractive and cataract surgery co-management, as well as diabetic and glaucoma eye examinations. During her time in Optometry school, Dr. Brittney Probst completed internships in a cornea and contact lens specialty practice and an ocular disease specialty practice. She was also selected to participate in the Dry Eye Center clinic while at the University of Houston and learned a wealth of information on treating dry eyes. She gained experience working with pediatrics in a specialty pediatrics clinic at University Eye Institute.

Dr. Brittney Probst is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, Harris County Optometric Association, and University of Houston Alumni Association. She is also involved with St. Martha Catholic Church in Kingwood, Texas.

She is currently the President of the Harris County Optometric Society.

 
 
 
 


Dr. Melissa Young

Dr Melissa Young grew up in San Antonio, attended the University of Texas at Austin, and went on to complete her Medical Degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

She had her solo Family Practice in Kingwood for 28 years, and was Medical Director of Face It! Med Spa for the last 10 years. She raised three children in Kingwood, and now is grandmother to a busy toddler.

Since 2017, she has owned and operated Botox Pop Up, an on site cosmetic injectable practice, since the sudden disruption of her Kingwood medical practices by Hurricane Harvey. She is pleased to call Family Vision Center our new Pop Up home.
